Dragons & Adventure Weekend

Unleash the adventurer within!

Sharpen your sword, grab your party, and prepare to step into a world where fantasy comes to life! Whether you’re a dungeon-crawling rogue, a fireball-flinging wizard, or just a lover of all things epic and imaginative—this is the weekend for you.

From video game heroes and tabletop legends to brave LARPers and first-time questers, all are welcome to join the adventure at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire.

Are you ready to roll for initiative? Gather your allies and join us for a weekend of fantasy, fire, and fearless fun.

Saturday

Free Kids Day: Thanks to our friends at Kidtivity.com, youth ages 7–15 get free admission with a paid adult ticket. It’s the perfect day to bring your little adventurers!

Best Adventurer Costume: Show off your best quest-ready outfit—whether you’re a gallant knight, scrappy rogue, potion master, or dungeon-delver extraordinaire. Our judges will test your adventuring spirit and crown one worthy hero!

Sunday

Best Monster Costume: Orcs, dragons, goblins, and creatures of all kinds—it’s your time to rise from the dungeon! Dress to terrify (or charm) and impress our judges with your monstrous flair.

Meet the Author: Each day of our show, we schedule a new up-and-coming fantasy author. Buy a book, get it signed, join their fan club, and grab a selfie to show you were there. See who the author is for a given day in the Guests Merchants section of our Shops page.

Contest Info: All contests occur on the Sovereign Stage at 2:45 pm. Unless otherwise mentioned, the Faire includes these events with your same-day admission. If you are planning to enter a contest, please arrive 10-15 minutes before starting. At the discretion of the contest host, some events may choose to limit the number of participants in a particular contest due to time restrictions.
