Frequently Asked Questions
Be aware that there are numerous ticket scammers, particularly on Facebook, who claim they can’t attend the Faire and are selling their tickets at a discounted rate. These offers are always scams. Some scammers even offer to give their tickets away for free, which is a tactic to get you to contact them, after which they will then ask for money. Scammers can also create fake tickets, which they may attempt to sell in our parking lot or through other channels. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the validity of any tickets purchased from unofficial sources.
To avoid being scammed, we strongly recommend purchasing your tickets directly through our official website or at our box office on any Faire day. This is the only way to ensure that your tickets are valid and that you won’t run into any issues upon arrival.
We do not offer refunds or exchanges on tickets. If you encounter a scam on Facebook, please flag the post so we can address it promptly. If you need to resell your tickets, you may do so on your personal Facebook page, but be aware that purchasing tickets from unofficial sources comes with risks.
Remember, if a deal seems too good to be true, it always is. Protect yourself and your experience by buying your tickets from trusted sources.
We accept both cash and credit cards at the entry gate. Inside the Faire, many merchants accept cards, but this varies by vendor. For those moments when cash is required, ATMs are conveniently located within the Faire grounds.
Our site is wheelchair-friendly, and we’ve had many guests with mobility devices, including scooters, successfully navigate the grounds. While the site has some hills, they can generally be managed by a scooter. However, please note that scooters have a different center of gravity than wheelchairs, making them more prone to tipping on uneven surfaces.
There is no gravel on the site, but there are large stones in some areas that can be navigated around. The site is not paved, and during rainy weather, certain areas may become muddy. We do our best to mitigate this, but as an outdoor event, we are subject to the whims of Mother Nature.
We strive to make the Faire accessible to all, and we appreciate any feedback that can help us improve the experience for everyone.
We do not rent or loan wheelchairs or scooters for our event.

Guests are welcome to wear family-friendly costuming to get into the fun. Costuming doesn’t have to be “Renaissance” as we’re a fantasy-based event. Come as you are or as you wish to be. Anything public-friendly goes, including Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Superheros, Villains, Stormtroopers, etc.
Any bladed weapons must be peace-tied. Weapons that are not easily peace-tied subject approval by Gate Security on a case-by-case basis. Replica weapons that resemble modern firearms are not permitted.
While the Faire has various affordable food options, we also allow guests to bring packed lunches, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. We will escort individuals found in possession of outside alcohol off of the site without a refund.
Faire management reserves the right to inspect any package or container for any reason.
Renaissance Faires originated in California back in the sixties. Since then, they’ve spread across the country, with some states having more than one. We run two shows in Connecticut: The Connecticut Renaissance Faire (Lebanon, CT) and Robin Hood’s Medieval Faire (Harwinton, CT). Accept no substitutions.
