Juggling, sword swallowing, audience participation, and a whole lot of comedy come together in Jacob’s sidesplitting show!  Born to two New York City professors, Jacob became obsessed with juggling at age 10.  He took time off from high school to tour the US with the Zoppé Family Circus, and at 18 was one of the first Americans accepted to Canada’s prestigious École de Cirque de Québec. He has since performed in 15 countries on 5 continents including juggling with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, performing at the Kennedy Center, and being the only American to compete in Moscow’s Nikulin Circus Festival.  He is thrilled to be bringing a brand new show to the Connecticut Renaissance Faire!

Les Derniers Trouvères (The Last Trouvères) is a French performance troupe deeply rooted in the medieval music of France.  Using period instruments such as the Bombard, Bagpipe, Krummhorn, different types of Flûte à Bec, Mandoloncello and percussion, the music and song of the Middle age centuries is recreated and brought alive to the delight of audiences world-wide.  Audience participation is encouraged through dance and is led by their own lead dancer.  Les Derniers Trouvères, in their beautiful period costumes, will transport you back to King Arthur’s grand court with both music and songs sung in French and English.  You will find them leading the processions during the faire day, on their own stage for enthralling sets and at the days end Finale.

Returning Favorites from days of Yore! Sept 7-8 Only! The Brigands are BACK!!  The Brigands, the East Coast’s top pirate band are back. The 4 piece, multi-talented bad boys of piracy will present music of the sea, piracy, skulldugery, booty and more piracy, as only they can.  Featuring much of the music from their 10th album, “Raging Seaward” and many of their fan favorite songs from the last 23 years.  For those unfortunate swabs who have not heard The Brigands before, be prepared to hear pirate music as you have little imagined it.  From hard driving fiddle tunes, to rousing songs of carousing, to plantive pleas to the sea-gods for succor to, well, scheming for treasure,  The Brigands have music for one and all!  Every show is 100% different and unique, so be sure to catch each one! 

Our very own, in-house players! Step back in time to 16th Century England and the court of King Alfred Crawford and Queen Beatrice. They and their entourage have traveled to Lebanshire where the townsfolk, lead by the Lord and Lady Mayor have prepared various festivities.  Planned throughout the fairgrounds, The Crown Players have various shows and greetings that you’ll want to see including A Knighting Ceremony for the youth.
