Knotty Nauticals is returning to New England! That’s right — our fiery, funny, family-friendly (and occasionally completely inappropriate) pirate circus is coming home-ish at long last! We may have started our journey in Massachusetts, but we’re docking the ship just next door… at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire this fall!

Starting late August through all of September, you can catch us the first five weekends bringing the heat — literally! We’ll be performing:

Featuring Brian Weiland on the hammered dulcimer and mandolin, Max Cohen on guitar, and for select shows, the astonishingly brilliant young wizard of the violin Aiden Weiland, this is a musical experience not to be missed. New for 2025! Aug 30 thru Sept 7 only! Rover’s Way invites you on a musical journey. This duo brings together the folk music traditions of many lands with multiple instruments and dynamic harmonies, along with stories behind the music and their adventures on the road. From the toe-tapping tunes of the Newfoundland Coast, to the rousing pub songs of the Emerald Isle, historic tales from the New World, and even a few songs from their own pens.

2025 New Act! Sept 27 thru Oct 19! Based out of Boston, MA, The Ses Carny’s Double-Edged Daredevils have been creating memories since 2000, with their unique brand of comedy, thrills, and daring stunts. They and their entourage have traveled to Lebanshire where the townsfolk, lead by the Lord and Lady Mayor have prepared various festivities.  Planned throughout the fairgrounds, The Crown Players have various shows and greetings that you’ll want to see including A Knighting Ceremony for the youth. Comedy, juggling, sword swallowing, and mayhem at its finest!  The Lord of the Sword – known throughout as the boldest, knife juggler and sword swallower, in the land…just so happens to be out for the day.  But don’t worry.  His trusty fool will do anything to keep the show going, and save his Lord’s reputation.  Will he charm the townsfolk (that’s you) and keep the Lord’s show (and reputation) alive – or will surprises be afoot?

Sept 13 thru 28 and Oct 11-12-13 Thom Fuewellery is a half-elf, half-dwarf bard known for blending original fantasy songs, comedic parodies, and interactive storytelling in a whimsical, family-friendly stage show. Drawing inspiration from classic Dungeons & Dragons tropes, Renaissance Faire traditions, and bardic mischief, Thom’s performance features live music, audience games, and improvised moments that vary with every show.

The set includes original compositions alongside reimagined classics, often inviting the audience to sing along, roll dice, or provide suggestions on the spot.
