All Hallows is the weekend of ghosts and ghouls and things that go bump in the night. Celebrate Halloween with us on our All Hallows Weekend and stay until the final moments when our show meets its season’s end. There’s a lot of fun going on during our final weekend. Get to the show before it’s too late.

Alyssa Louise Norton – October 7

Meet the Author: Alyssa Louise Norton is a freelance illustrator with a passion for children’s book illustrations. She earned her BFA in Illustration from the University of Hartford. Before she even graduated college, Allyssa won the opportunity to illustrate her first children’s book called, “Momma Buy Me a China Doll”, which she is bringing to CTFAIRE this fall! She also works with ROM.AC under art director Vitaly Alexius, as one of the artists for the whimsical webcomic Romantically Apocalyptic!

Our “Meet the Author” event is just one more reason you need a season pass as we host a different fantasy author each and every day of our show.

Kids Costume Contest

Contest Info: Unless otherwise specified, entry into all contests at the Special Events Stage are included with your same-day admission to the Faire. If you are planning to enter a contest, please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start. At the discretion of the contest host, some events may choose to limit the number of participants in a particular contest due to time restrictions.

Youth ages 15 and under are invited to compete in our Halloween Costume Contest.

Deaf Awareness Day

Join us today as Finger Dancers from around New England interpret a variety of shows for our friends who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The Queen’s Knight Time

Want to have some fun with randy shows geared toward adults? When the Faire closes on October 7, it’s time for the grownups to have fun. Sit back, relax, and grab an ice-cold brew from Thimble Island Brewing Company. This is an evening of incredible drinks, contests, adult humor, and a whole lot of fun.

A.L. Davroe – October 8

A popular virtual reality game, Nexis, is the only escape for a naturally-born teenager named Ella. There she learns the game isn’t quite what everyone thinks it is. Discover what Ella learns in A.L. Davroe’s latest novel. Davroe resides in Connecticut with her cats and has written several books with a focus on science fiction.

“Til Death Do us Part” Vow Renewals

You promised to love each other until “Death Do Us Part,” but why stop there? Married couples are encouraged to dress as zombies for this free vow renewals ceremony. This special event is included with your admission to the Faire and includes an undead vow renewals certificate so don’t miss out! If you don’t have a zombie costume, visit our Face Painter for help. She has just what you need.

Ethan Rappaport – October 9

Nine epic fantasy novels, six separate trilogies, three time periods, one unique series. Legends of the Four Races is the first Interlocking Matrix, a series encompassing six separate trilogies and covering three time periods. Each book can be read on its own but is also part of two other story arcs. E. A. Rappaport graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He works as a software engineer for a financial services consulting firm in New York and is a lifelong resident of Orange, Connecticut.

Suzanne Cordatos – October 9th

If you’ve been looking for something new and original to read to your kids as a family tradition, take a look at a new series about Willard the Dragon and his friends. In Sneeze-Fire, Willard makes his friends fiery mad on a snow day, and in the new book Camp Dragon-Fire, Willard and friends play dragon games and set a trap for mysterious creatures. Suzanne has a degree in English Literature and is also author of a middle grade novel set in Greece. She is a director of international student admissions for Sacred Heart University, located in Fairfield, CT.
